I have tried to grow these here and had some luck one summer but then they never came back. This one is quite nice.

Hey, what a splash of vivid red. I like the contrast with the green. Great photo.

Trade places with you! Beautiful, please tell me what kind of camera your using? A few of us Southern California bloggers are in the market for cameras.

Isn't it nie that some of us break the no flower rules of cdp. I wouldn't wanted to have missed this. It's so eye poppingly vivid. Beautiful.

I'm back from another weekend away. Thank you all for your comments.
Palm, I'm using a Cannon PowerShot SX100 IS with 10X Optical Zoom/8.0 Mega Pixels. My husband bought it last December after our previous Cannon's screen malfunctioned. It's a great point & shoot camera but I do think the photos come out a bit anemic compared to the last Cannon I used, however, the flower shot was not adjusted at all. (I can't fiddle with photos too much as I only have MS Office Picture Manager to work with.)
Babooshka, great to have you as a partner in crime. ;)

tash, besides MS office pic mgr you can find freeware photo-editing software on the web. Some are reviewed as being fairly good.
No problems/weakpoints w/your new cam?
