I don't know it this happens to you, but it happens to me all the time - yes, catching the tail ends of moving things: cars, planes, people especially, animals...
The other thing that happens all the time is getting a better shot of the same subject AFTER I've already posted the photo. I really liked the rider photo I posted on Monday that I took a while ago but thought it needed to be of better quality for posting. So yesterday, on the drive to work I got this shot of the same subject at the same intersection. I think this is the same, really beautiful horse with a different although similarly dressed rider. And so it goes with blogging...

Are 'horse & rider' daily view for you? Where do you think they ride to/from?
I like the tail end shot!
I was looking for my car. Ha!

I liked it Tash, but here I can not see it's normal.
But the horse is really beautiful!

I always seem to be catching only partial shots like that of my grandchildren because they never stop moving!
I'd have to venture into Ybor City, our late-night entertainment district, to be sure and catch a horse and rider and it'd be our mounted police. I did shoot one horse and posted him several weeks ago but it was a real fluke. Your horse is a fine looking animal.
I do hate to see a better shot after posting...I bet it happens to us all. BTW, I really like the "soft" rock with Malibu in the distance. Nice view and photo.
I love the image with the horse's rear end. It makes the composition so interesting. Like picking up in the middle of a story. You don't know what's come before but what's going on right at that moment sure grabs your attention.
It happens to me and gives me a greater appreciation of people who take sports photos. It certainly takes a lot of practice and skill to get a photo of a moving object, whatever it happens to be.
The tail end shot is great. Flick flick flick.
We'd have to have the camera to our eye all the time to get 'em all.
I like tail-end shots, too! But the horse is posing pretty for you in the second photo.
It never ceases to amaze me how much horse back riding there is in your corner of the world. This is a gorgeous horse, I'm sure pure pleasure to ride.
Lovely tail end shot
I rather like this particular tail end of things. I am a little surprised to see this fellow out in rush hour. Madness I tell you!
It does seem to have the same tail end! Great light in both shots!
