Nature's Gift (3)

This morning, after a bit of rain earlier, I just happen to glance outside at the moment when sun broke throught the clouds and lit up the buildings. Even my son (who usually says "That's nice, Mom" to my shouts of "Come quick, you gotta see this!"), thought the view was very pretty. With the reflection in the scene and the photo being straight from the camera, I can say that I learned well from Babooshka.

The sad part about the view is that 10 days ago the two pine trees just outside our door were chopped down - hopefully for a good reason. So no more fun with the squirrels (enlarge the photo below) for our dog or our cats.

Wow those reflections are amazing. Well captured.

Although we're not offically allowed to chop down trees here people do lop down pines with gay abandon as they're considered "dirty" Pity though as they are a home for some wildlife and a source of entertainment for the dogs!

The top photo is really striking---good job! And the dog one, well, I can identify with that---Bibi loves squirrels....

The back of a dog's head looks so vulnerable, doesn't it? Like a kid who just got out of bed.

Love the first shot. The bright sunlight with the dark clouds. Glad you were able to catch it. Great shot!

at least you got Amy out of the house. I'm tripping over Tovah. I love that peek a boo light after a storm

I fell for the dog photo. I know what's going on. He's all atip, excited, interested. You can tell by the ears.

I love the stormlight. It's so compelling.
