F is for ... (abc Wednesday)

...FATBURGER - OK, you will have to trust me on this one, the sign does start with an "F". Would you eat at a place that is called that? This one has been in business for a long time & is located in Hollywood Riviera (how's that for a promising name?) neighborhood of Redondo Beach on PV Blvd & Pacific Coast Hwy.

... frou-frou n. Etymology: French, of imitative origin Date: 1870
1 : a rustling especially of a woman's skirts 2 : showy or frilly ornamentation
A good name for a women's clothes store in Peninsula Center shopping area.

CaloriFic !
Frou-frou is very evocative but not something heard much in our time though Meri wore a long skirt for years and it was familiar then.

I believe.....
Fatburger is such a nice "F" word and it makes really problems with health all over the world.

Fascinating post, but I think I prefer the aircrafts

Well, when I stay away from the Fatburgers, I generally feel more like chasing after the Frou Frou...

I like the name of this burger joint, I'd eat there. I remember seeing a Beefaroo, I wouldn't eat there. :)

I like Frou Frou and the facade is so NOT frou frou.
Fatburger? I'm not sure. I do love the composition on that photo though.

These are Fabulous F signs.
But "Fatburger?"
I can hear my arteries clogging up just reading the sign.

This is hilarious. I can see this taking off in the UK. Honest advertising.

I have what I call my frou frou gloves. Black Velvet with lace edge. Not much chance to wear them on my island.

If they are good burgers, of course I would eat there but I don't believe I would go shopping just after eating them!

I saw your Museum of Flight pictures at the ABC blog. We visited it in the spring with grandkids. It was a great time had by all ages.

I don't knwo about a Fatburger. I've heard of it. Haven't had a burger in ages--from anywhere.

I'd like to be able to wear a frou frou so I'll stay away from the fat burgers.

LOL I do not think I'd eat at a place called "Fatburger" because it brings up images of meat frying in vats of fat! ICK Love the frou frou! :D

That frou frou one cracks me up. I usually use those words when referring to a drink, but with that definition, it probably doesn't fit that well...

No I dont think I could eat a fat burger...the minutes of pleasure would be followed by hours of guilt! Amazing what we see in our daily walks.
Great stuff.
