Going DOWN!

Mulholland Drive Bridge over the 405 Freeway, 7-13-2011
The closure of the busiest stretch of the 405 freeway on the coming weekend for the demolition of this bridge is the talk of the town (and beyond). Check out all the funny Carmageddon videos on YouTube. I'm glad I was able to drive past it yesterday and snap the picture. I'll be sticking close to home this weekend, how about you?

We're heading to Santa Barbara, and not using any freeways near 405!

I'm 3,000 miles away so I think I am going to be OK.

Oh, my Wanda...still a brave undertaking.

Jack, hopefully you are right; the butterfly effect of 405 closure may just reach across a mere 3,000 miles

The freeways as we know it will cease to exist...well not quite, but its gonna be a hot mess. Good thing i wont be anywhere near it and laughing at those who are! Nice pic!

Glad I have no reason to be near there!

shhhh go out...the freeways are empty (just like the 84 Olympics) we went to Culver City for an opening. Almost didn't until we called a friend who had managed to drive to Long Beach-North Hollywood-Santa Monica and back to the gallery in Culver City to be at the opening.

btw: glad to see a photo of the actual bridge
