A Cure for June Gloom?

We are in the "mist" of June gloom every morning...it's the marine layer that covers LA basin in the morning hours of late spring and early summer, usually burning off by noon. This particular morning was almost a "white-out".

The June Gloom holds a lot of promise for photography, doesn't it? This one is good.

What a gentle backdrop it makes, your June Gloom.

That marine layer gets all the way over to me in Sunland....but a splash of color like your flowers brighten the day.

The marine layer is not cause for June gloom. It just means you can do outdoor activities without getting hot or sunburned until the afternoon. The knowledge that it will be sunny by midday should prevent gloom.

Considering I'm outside daily, all day long, building my redwood bunker (6ft fence) I welcome this weather.

Wow! Some great photos this week. The "white-out" sounds like it can yield lots of interesting photos! Love the ones of the fair. The lights are mesmerizing.

Very pretty Tash! It looked a little like that here this week, but it was smoke from the wildfires being blown in from the east.

How soon we forget - June gloom. We are finally getting some June sun and warmth. Maybe summer will really arrive - but it was quite a cool spring. - Margy

Amazing so much fog so late in the year. Fog around Rome is more a spring or rater autumn phenomenon.

Oh yes, I recall the Pacific Coastal fog. So thick you could almost cut it with a knife.

BTW - Beautiful terra cotta planter full of very pretty geraniums.
