Mustard hills...

... Palos Verdes Dr. South in the Portugese Bend area, where the hill is slowly sliding toward the ocean. The yellow plants are a variety of mustard plant, that give color to the So. Cal. coast in early spring.

Will Rogers State Park and this area around Portugese Bend are my favorite (near) ocean walks. I start from a park (?) up on the hill and walk down to the archery range that ends at the ocean.

Love this picture with the rolling hills and yellow plants.

Must be good walking country.

Your comment about "slowly sliding toward the ocean" brought to mind a short trip I made to Monterey Bay a long time ago. Some friends and I took a drive along that oceanside highway and marvelled at the beauty and at the erosion.

Thank you for your comment on my Villigen CH blog. Have you been back to visit since you left Hochdorf?
