Horses, Rolling Hills Estates (1 February 2012) |
The animal most associated with Palos Verdes is -- the horse (of course). I drive by this corral every morning and took the time to greet this lovely pair today.
For very interesting information about RHE and terrific old photos (with lots of horses in them), see Maureen Megowan -- History of Rolling Hills Estates.

I'd love to stroke that beautiful nose!
You have two beautiful horse friends, Tash. And, you show them off nicely in their portrait today.
Thanks for your comment about the Fort Myers sculpture. The link you provided is the one I also found (belatedly). I also went back on Monday and discovered that there is a plaque inconspicuously out of the way explaining the sculptures. Sometime later in the month I might show an update photo to explain them the way your article does.
Now that's a good looking face!
Well, didn't you catch this fellow. You know what the mark on the nose is called? A snip. Just one of many useless pieces of information I have at my fingertips.
Gorgeous! I can see how soft his nose is!
When I was a kid I always loved riding in the car through Palos Verdes, hoping to see a horse on the trails. I always wished I could live there and have on in my back yard. - Margy
A great shot!
Great shot - your horses are enjoying better weather than mine.
Adorable portrait Tash, horses are so gentle and lovely looking..even when they grin with those BIG teeth!!
love this, tash. the way it's composed it looks almost as if the horse is coming right out of the frame.
Horses are beautiful ! Nice portrait !
