South Bay Watch ...

From the streets of Rancho Palos Verdes  (3 March 2012)
We had exceptionally good weather this past weekend in the LA basin --
beautiful views abounded.
The photo shows a bit of a garage sale in progress. I couldn't resist stopping
and while I was pondering buying 2 wooden carved cats (for a friend, really),
someone else snached them up.

Miss South Bay to Others...

... Miss World to us. My friend's daughter is as beautiful on the inside as on the outside.

We are off to Mammoth Mountain for the annual ski weekend. To get the feel of the place, check out Kathryn's splendid Mammoth Lakes Daily Photo.

Theme Day: Graffiti

Are there three kinds of people in the world? Those who like Mr. Rogers, those who don't, and those who don't know who Mr. Rogers is?

I liked Mr. Rogers - up to a point.

(Graffiti found under Sepulveda Blvd. in Manhattan Beach at Veterans Parkway walking/jogging path.)

Today is theme day for City Daily Photo - Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

At Aviation & Rosecrants (Sunday Bridges)

Here are two train bridges, one for the Metro Green Line light rail, over Rosecrants Ave. and Aviation Blvd. in Hawthorne, about 12 miles due north from Palos Verdes. I lived near by when my partents and I first moved to the US, and then when I started working in aviation after college. I remember the other (proper) train bridge as being the first one I saw in the New World.
See bridges from around the world at Sunday Bridges.
