Ocotillo at Joshua Tree National Park (SkyWatch Friday)
It's interesting, if your out in these desert climes to visit the big box home despot stores. They sell massive Ocotillo but in the same manner you find bare root roses. And I do believe we can grow them in our yards if we figure out how to provide them the correct amount of water and cactus friendly soil.

It is good seeing some color out there. I had assumed that brown and beige were the dominant colors in Joshua Tree.
Don't stop now.

I love ocotillo. I remember traveling through Baja years back and seeing it blooming everywhere. - Margy
