Monday's Mural: At parking lot's edge, La Brea Tar Pits, Los Angeles
Parking lot at La Brea Tar Pits, Los Angeles (Dec. 2013)
Unexpected views in the parking lot: a gorgeous mural on the wall of the garden storage building (did not find the artists' names anywhere), a parking lot that needs mowing...
it's brilliant. Is it painted on screens or wood - or is the wood just for the gate opening. I was there at the pits last weekend but didn't see it. Did you catch the James Turrel show? Probably impossible to get tickets now

That mural almost looks like a transparent screen! And the parking lot is getting rather long. :)
When I was a kid we lived in LA and when we had visitors we often took them to the tar pits. I can't remember much more than that, though.
I agree with Lowell, it does have the qualities of a transparent screen. Very nice artwork!

I like this mural with angles!
This looks like a detailed mural. Is it setting the scene for what it looked like around the tar pits back when it was luring saber-tooth tigers?
The mural is lovely, how unfortunate that the artist did not sign it.
