A Mirage? at El Mirage (dry) Lake
Citabria on El Mirage dry lake bed (iPhone photo by Ian B.)
Our son flew his instructor's Citabria out from Torrance and landed on the dry lake bed, south-east of Edwards AFB.
The colors in the photo make me think of a vintage 60's post card.
Like an arial equivalent of a mini or Fiat 500, both very popular young people's cars here.
I don't like the self-conscious retro photo effects that are all the rage just now, but this is the real thing and absolutely gives the feeling of 1960s postcards.

Wonderful colors indeed!
The plane's colours really stand out there!
God bless you!

Looks like fun - her really enjoys flying! It sure can blow out there sometimes. - Margy
