... was strolling (with owner) on Cherry Ave. in Long Beach and had me screech to a halt, park and run after them.
In my haste, I didn't get the name of either one of them, but the bird proved to be a sensational showman. The young man said that hundreds of people have photographed his buddy.

The bird is so exuberantly colored that it looks more like animation than life. I would have chased after the duo, too.
I had a sixth grade teacher at my elementary school when I was a principal that would bring his parrot to visit his classroom. When it almost moved in full time, I suggested less frequent visits for a variety of reasons. - Margy
It's not hard to believe hundreds of people have photographed that bird...it's absolutely gorgeous! I especially love the black and white zebra-stripe markings around its eyes. It's an unexpected but beautiful contrast with the brilliant feathers.
they are so smart, those parrots! there's a wonderful book called Alex And Me which shows us how smart they are.
Beautiful bird with great colors!
Great shots.... Makes me think of a post I did several weeks ago with a Man named Willy and his parrot named Tutti!
Definitely beautiful...have you seen Disney's Rio?
The bird is truly gorgeous. And seems to enjoy the attention.
