... into a 1929 PACKARD DIETRICH DUALCOWL PHAETON?
From my web search, think this beauty belongs to Dana and Lianne Graham of Rancho Palos Verdes. The owner stopped to fill-up a the local Chevron station early one morning. At first I just gawked and then remembered to snap a few pictures. I asked him if he was afaid to drive such an expensive, elegant vehicle; he said, "No, I just try to keep lots of space between me and other cars since the Packard needs a lot of stopping distance."

Congratulations, Tash! You are just about as nosy as I am! Isn't it amazing how much information we can find on the web?
Oh that is one amazing car, what a classic and in such excellent condition. What great advice, keep a lot of space between car in front and back, good idea in general I think haha!
Wish I could just pack my troubles and leave them behind.
A classic beauty you show us Tash.
Have a beautiful day.

Now thats what I call stylish motoring! traveling in this car would be all about the journey rather than the destination.
I love your "reporting photography".... Always interesting, always a great picture.
Very classic and really charming!

Mmm, takes me back to some classic and totally enjoyable Black and White movies.
Talk about fortuitous! How lucky that you were in just the right place at just the right time. :)
