Art on Monday: View (Redux) with Artist

A repeat view of my 1st post, 102 days ago. This time I've included someone who also thinks the view is worth preserving.
I've also posted Odd Shots on Monday on my other blog.

Do you have a shot of the view the painter was painting?

A lot of brown visible. Is that the normal state - given the cacti in your first photo, I assume that's it.

A glorious, fascinating landscape!

Love how the artist seems to have her back to the main view!

Well, it just takes my breath away. Is someone trying to develop it? I hope not, its a stuning view.

An amazing view and not so green as one usually gets to see in other countries. Here in Malta we do not have a lot of green as well as it's a very dry island.

Great photo. It looks like the person hasn't realised the view is behind them!

Thanks for your interest in Cheltenham. We are about 50 miles from the Welsh border. Wales is much bigger then people think and it takes ages to get any where in Wales as there are no motorways just small roads!

Cheltenham is pronounced as its written, though we tend to merge the end letters so it sounds more like "Cheltnum" Gloucestershire is pronounced Gloss-ter-shur. I know Americans tend to say the "Shire" part in quite a pronounced way, but we Brits don't mind! Hope this all helps. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for theme day. I've got a little trick up my sleeve!

Thanks again for your questions, its good to know that people are intersted by my town and my blog :)

I never even thought about the direction she is facing. I thought she was just painting the view over her shoulder... not likely, is it? The direction she is facing is definitely not as interesting.
The dry, brown grass in the summer is typical in California (Southern, Central, and inland Northern). The hills are very green in the spring. The undeveloped section is where the land shifts toward the ocean and is protected land under PVP Land Conservancy Organization (http://www.pvplc.org/)
