'D' is for Darling Ducklings (ABC Wednesday)
... deciding to doze during the day, watched over by a digilent mama-duck.
(Photographed last Saturday at June Lake in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas).
Join ABC Wednesday, hosted by Mrs. Nesbitt and friends.
Oh, wow, look how many! This summer I saw two mother ducks in a Seattle lake. One had six, and the other mother only had one....I felt so sorry for her. She was so watchful and concerned.
How cute ! Wonder if mama duck has them all on a "time out" ? Noticed that one little duck is facing in the opposite direction and it looks like mama has her eye on him ... he must be the bad boy of the family. :)
