"B" is for (Fifty-One) Bees by Elizabeth Garrison & Victor Henderson (ABC Wednesday)
Created in 1996 by my favorite artists, this wonderful Fifty-One Bees mural (I count 24 out of 51 in the photo) located on the Southern California Flower Market building, received a face lift this year (pasadenaadjacent.com - here-is-there).

Dolores Paints Tuskegee Airmen
I admired the painting Dolores was working on from a black and white photograph, in which she is creating an amazing likeness of the Tuskegee pilots. In addition to being an accomplished painter, she is very sweet and friendly.

Going DOWN!
Mulholland Drive Bridge over the 405 Freeway, 7-13-2011 |
The closure of the busiest stretch of the 405 freeway on the coming weekend for the demolition of this bridge is the talk of the town (and beyond). Check out all the funny Carmageddon videos on YouTube. I'm glad I was able to drive past it yesterday and snap the picture. I'll be sticking close to home this weekend, how about you?
