Hi, Tash. My late father-in-law kept a small plane at Torrance's air field in the 1970s. I don't remember the name Zamperini, although I did recently read a review of the book you just finished.
Wires or not, it's a great shot.
If you've never attended Torrance's veterans parade, you've got to go. I did a decade ago with Torrance bud Patrick. Amazing! they even dragged a couple of guys out of rest homes (and put them in wheel chairs) to represent WWI
I love these airshows with vintage airplanes. I've been meaning to read the book so off to the library I'll go!!
