"A Clean, Well Lighted Place" - Chevron Station (2)
Hillside Chevron, Hawthorne Blvd. and Newton, Walteria neighborhood of Torrance
Hemingway's short story with the title used for this post is one of my favorites since I read it in my twenties.
It does look so clean! And I bet the petrol's cheap too. My husband still reminisces fondly about the cheapness of the petrol in LA compared to here, 10 years later!
